Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy (born on the 17th October 1992), is an Indian actress. She appears primarily in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. She won the National Film Award Best Actress Award for her performance as actress Savitri. Her other awards include the three SIIMA Awards, a Filmfare Award South as well as three SIIMA Awards. Keerthy is the child of producer G. Suresh Kumar and actor Menaka G. Suresh. Her early career was as an actor for children. Then, following a course in Fashion Design, she returned to acting. Her first leading performance in 2013's Malayalam film Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy has signed her first Tamil projects in the year 2015. She then started accepting projects from Malayalam. The film she released was her debut, A. L. Vijay's romantic comedy Idhu Enna Maayam, in 2015. The film was starring Vikram Prbhu. The film did not turn out to be successful at the box-office. The busy schedule she had throughout the year meant that she had to opt out of films which she had already started making, such as Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye and Deekay's Kavalai Vendam, to be able to take on bigger projects. Within a brief period she also worked with Sivakarthikeyan for Rajini Murugan, Remo and was also the lead actor on Prabhu Sool's Thodari alongside Dhanush. The film that she played in was her Telugu debut was planned to be titled Ainaa Ishtam Nuvvu. Though the release date for Janakitho Nenu is not yet confirmed, there is speculation that it may be in September 2020. The first film to debut came out as Nenu Sailaja in 2016, featuring the actor Ram Pothineni. Keerthy was cast opposite Vijay In Bairavaa by Bharathan, which premiered on 17 January 2017.
